LIMUDEI KODESH CURRICULUM:
Mussar/Hashkafa
An integral part of producing a Ben-Torah is the inculcation of the moral/ethical values of the Torah. In addition to learning the Hashkafas HaTorah from Chumash and Nach, talmidim are taught Medrashim and various parts of Mishlei, Tehilim and Pirkei Avos with the specific aim of transmitting the Torah Hashkafa. Talmidim study the classical ethical writings of the Rishonim and Achronim (the writings of the Rambam, the Shaarei Tshuva LiRabbeinu Yonah, Chovos HaLevovos, Mesilos Yesharim, etc.). Special emphasis is placed on individual midos development. The Mesivta’s goal is to produce an individual who is sensitive to the needs of others and imbued with ahavas Yisroel stemming from his appreciation of Hashkafas HaTorah.
