Shabbos began with mincha lead
by Shimshon Seligson followed by an
inspirational
kabolas shabbas, led by Danny Friedman.
Rambam Principal, Rabbi
Yotav Eliach, started Shabbos with a powerful
presentation on the deeper meaning of Shabbos which
was followed by a
Shabbos meal with singing.
Afterward, Rambam
Seniors presented two thought-provoking and funny
skits which were discussed at length afterward
in groups. Valuable lessons were learned about integrity
and chesed followed by Oneg Shabbos with
chulent, kugel, chips and nosh. The students
retired for the evening tired but exhilarated.
A
busy Shabbos morning began with davening lead
by Jeffrey Reichman and Yosef Lefkovitz, laining lead
by Dovi Hochbaum, Gabriel
Weinberg, Yechezkel Stepner, Eliezer Horowitz and
Daniel Fishman. and
musaf lead by Avi
Levy.
Rabbi Eliach gave a special presentation on 9-11,
the Holocaust
and
the
State of Israel. After an afternoon break, the students
shmoozed, walked, napped and played chess and other
board games.
Rosh HaMesivta, Rabbi
Zev Meir Friedman,
gave a highly interactive shiur focusing
on the meaning of hilchos teshuva. Everyone
had shalosh seudos with singing and an
inspirational story from Rabbi Gopin followed
by maariv.
Saturday night got started with
some indoor sports, an appetizing barbeque, then
a malave malka with live music and dancing.
Everyone next enjoyed a kumzits which set
the mood for selichos. 
On
Sunday morning, the students davened
shachris lead by Yehuda Holzer,
had a sumptuous breakfast, enjoyed more sports
and hopped on the busses
for a
ride to Monsey for pizza.
Tired but exhilarated from the
weekend's events, the Rambam freshmen returned home,
ready
to begin the week at school.
