Mr. Gerald Bass
Mr. Bass is a retired administrator from the NYC school system where he served in schools
for gifted and talented children for the past 25 years. He holds graduate and post-graduate
degrees from C.C.N.Y. and Queens College. He has been on the Hofstra University staff where
he started a gifted science program. His extensive yeshiva experience includes HALB, HANC and Yeshiva
Dov Revel. |

Mr. Joseph Cardillo
Señor Cardillo has over 40 years offoreign
language teaching experience. He was the District
Supervisor of Foreign Languages and taught Spanish,
French and Italian in the Baldwin School
DistricM MESIVTA since 1997. He has also been teaching
French and Italian at Dowling College since 1997. He holds a BA from Hofstra
University and an MA from Brooklyn College. He
has attended l'Université de
Paris- La Sorbonne, Paris, France. |

Rabbi Arie Chait
Rabbi Arie Chait was born on the east side in
Manhattan. At the age of six, his family moved to
Israel where they resided for eight years. In
1989, the family we moved back to the U.S.A. where
Rabbi Chait
attended Bais Shraga high school in Monsey.
After graduating in 1993, Rabbi Chait returned to
Israel
to attend Chofetz Chaim Yeshiva, where his grandfather
is the Rosh HaYeshiva. Rabbi Chait then attending
Chofetz Chaim Yeshiva in Kew
Gardens Hills for 10 years where he received Semicha
(Rabbinic Ordination). During the first years
at yeshiva, Rabbi Chait attended Touro College
and received a degree in Accounting .Prior
to teaching at Rambam, Rabbbi Chait had been
teaching at Mesivta of Roslyn high school for three
years. |

Rabbi Mordechai Ehrlich
After studying in the Mirrer Yeshiva through
Mesivta and Beis Medrash, Rabbi Ehrlich studied
in Yeshivat Itri in Yerushalayim for two years.
Upon his return to the United States, Rabbi Ehrlich
learned in the Yeshiva Gedola of Greater Detroit
under the leadership of HaRav Leib Bakst, Shlita,
who is famous for having learned and taught in
the original Mirrer Yeshiva in Europe who survived
WWII in Japan and Shanghai during the war. Rabbi
Ehrlich studied under his tutelage for 18 years
before returning to live in NY.

Rabbi Moshe Farkas
Rabbi Moshe Farkas learned in the Telshe Yeshiva in Cleveland, Yeshiva Bais
Medrash LeTorah in Skokie and Yeshiva Brisk in Chicago, and in Chaim Berlin
in
Brooklyn. He received his smicha from Harav HaGaon Aharon Soloveichik,
zt"l. He is the Moreh D’Asra in Congregation Mateh Zevulun in Far Rockaway.
Rabbi Farkas has been teaching in Rambam since 1993. |

Rabbi Elie Feder
Rabbi Elie Feder is originally from Staten Island. He now lives in Far Rockaway
with his wife Aliza and his twenty-month-old daughter, Ayala. He learned for
many years at yeshiva B'nei Torah, from where he received Yora Yora and Yadin
Yadin Smichos from Rabbi Yisrael Chait. Rabbi Feder also studied mathematics
at the CUNY Graduate Center. He has recently completed his Ph.D in an area
of theoretical mathematics called braid group theory. He is currently a Math
professor at Kingsborough Community College, and give s a shiur in the afternoons
at Yeshiva B'nei Torah. Rabbi Feder teaches a Mishmar shiur at Rambam. |

Rabbi Moshe Fine
This is Rabbi Moshe Fine's first year teaching at Rambam. He is teaching
two classes in Gemara Iyun and one class in pre-calculus. For
the last 32 years,
Rabbi Fine has been a rebbe and a math teacher in MTA. He has
also taught calculus in Yeshiva University for three years. He has smicha from
Rabbi Yosef dov Sulovetchik, a master's degree from Bernard Revel, and
a master's degree in math and operations research from NYU Graduate School
of Engineering. He learned in the Yu Kullel for three years, and in Israel
at Yeshiva Lenepa'Yavneh. Rabbi Fine lives in Far Rockaway and has been
giving a Gemera Shiur in the White Shul in Far Rockaway on shabbos for
the past 13 years. |

Rabbi Shmuel Fink
Rabbi Fink learned in Mesivta of Long Beach and Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim. He
received his Smicha from Harav Ephraim Greenblatt Shlita, author of the
Rivivos Ephraim. In addition to being a Rebbe in Rambam, Rabbi Fink is
the Deputy Chairman of the Department of Computer Science at Touro College
where he has been a professor for 12 years. |

Rabbi Yitzchok Friedman
Rabbi "Y" was brought up in Hicksville, Long
Island and later attended Yeshivas Shor Yoshuv where
he learned and received smicha from HaRav Naftali
Jaeger Shlita. Before coming to Rambam, he was the
12th grade Rebbe in Mesivta Ohr Torah where he also
ran the Israel Guidance Program. Currently he is
a 9th and 11th grade Rebbe. |

Imelda L. Gallagher
Mrs. Gallagher is returning to Rambam to teach
Honors Biology. She is also on the HAFTR High
School faculty where she is responsible for the
Advanced Placement Biology program and for an
honors biology class.
Mrs. Gallagher is a retired Long Island public
school administrator and teacher. During her
career, she served as Science Department Chair,
District Coordinator of the Science and the Talented
and Gifted Programs and summer school principal.
Mrs. Gallagher has degrees from Barnard College
and Columbia University and a Certificate of
Advanced Study from Hofstra University.

Mr. Max Gottfried
Mr. Gottfried is an artist with
over 20 years of experience covering all facets
of graphics and fine arts. He has taught at the Connecticut Institute of Art, Montclair State College, The
Great Neck Adult Center, the Usdan Center for Creative Arts, and Nassau Community College. He
holds a B.F.A from Pratt Institute. |

Rabbi Avi Haar
Rabbi Haar has taught at Rambam since its inception. He holds a BS from Brooklyn College, and a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine
from NYMCPM. Rabbi Dr. Haar also completed a surgical residency in Cleveland, Ohio. He learned for many years in Yeshiva Bnei
Torah receiving Smicha from Harav Yisroel Chait, Shlita. |

Rebecca P. Isseroff
Mrs. Isseroff teaches Honors Regents Chemistry
at Rambam. She received a
BS degree in Chemistry from Brooklyn College and
a Masters Degree in
Secondary Ed. for Chemistry from Adelphi University.
Mrs. Isseroff, who
also teaches at the Stella K. Abraham HS for Girls
and at Lawrence High
School, has been teaching Regents and AP Chemistry
for nine years. She
spends her summers at SUNY Stony Brook conducting
research in Materials
Science with high school students. Mrs. Isseroff
holds a Gruss
Excellence in Teaching Secular Studies Award and
the American Chemical
Society Middle States Excellence in Teaching Chemistry
Award.

Mr. Michael Kelly
This is Mr. Kelly's first
year at Rambam. Prior to his appointment at Rambam,
he taught for six years in the Sewanhaka Central
High School District and for one year at the Huntington
Learning Center. He has taught 8th grade, Math
A, Math B, precalculus, calculus as well as SAT prep.
Mr. Kelly received his bachelors degree in Mathematics
from St. John's University and attended Molloy
college for his masters classes. He also attended
the Efficacy
seminar at Harvard University. |

Dr. Neera Kimmel
Dr. Neera Kimmel joins our staff after having
recently graduated from The Albert Einstein College
of Medicine, receiving Honors in Pulmonary and Critical
Care Medicine and Rheumatology. She wants her students
to experience and visualize the material, not only
read about it. A magna cum laude graduate from Columbia
College, Dr. Kimmel received the Henry J. Esser Award
for Academic Distinction. She graduated Valedictorian
from the Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaways,
where she was a recipient of the Caroline and Joseph
S. Gruss Scholarship. |

Mr. James Kolczyski
Mr. Kolczynski’s background includes
an MS in Physics and a BA in Psychology from
Adelphi University. Upon graduation he taught
for six years at various high schools. He
teaches AP
Physics,
mathematics and computer science languages (most
recently Visual Basic and C+++).
He also has 14 years experience as a quality
assurance engineer and manager at various large
and small companies like Cheyenne, Reuters, CosmoCom
and Aether Systems. At Rambam Mesivta, he is
currently teaching advanced placement physics,
math A/B, math B, computer science and performing
administrative duties.

Professor Lisa Korman
Lisa Korman joined Rambam Mesivta as the school psychologist and AP Psychology
professor in 2001. Currently, she also works with the students coordinating
their chessed activities. Outside of Rambam, Professor Korman
works as a psychologist at Kulanu, in the Keren Eliana Parent Advocacy & Resource
Center (PARC), and is an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Nassau Community
College. |

Mr. Ben Levy
Mr. Levy is the backbone of our Ivrit program, preparing the students for
the Regents as well as teaching Advanced Hebrew and Conversational Hebrew. Mr.
Levy is a former member of the Israeli Delegation of the Zionist Agency,
the
Youth
and
Pioneer
Department
to the
UJA
Cultural Exchange Program in the U.S. He
graduated (MS) from Brooklyn College with honors, and now is looking
to explore further the field of Jewish education. |

Mr. Joe Malizia
Mr. Malizia has taught Chemistry or Immunology
at Rambam for nine yearst.
Mr.
Malizia
holds
a BA in Chemistry with a minor in Biology
as well as a Masters in Science Curriculum. Both
degrees were obtained from Boston University.
Mr. Malizia also holds a degree in School Administration
from Hofstra University. His
certification areas are in Biology, Chemistry,
Physics and School Administration. He is currently
serving in the capacity of Department Chair of
Science in the Carle Place Public
Schools. He has held this position for eight
years. Mr. Malizia is now entering his 23rd
year in private and public school education.
He enjoys all sports, especially football and
baseball.

Rabbi Heshy Reichman
Rabbi Reichman gives a shiur to the 11th and 12th grades on Friday mornings
at the Mesivta. These talmidim have the tremendous zchus of
learning with one of the top Magid Sheurim that
Yeshiva University has to offer. Rabbi Reichman
received his Smicha directly from Reb Moshe Feinstein,
has been a close talmid of Rov Yosef Soloveichik
for many years and is the author of four serforim.
He has been lecturing at Yeshiva University for
over 30 years and has spent numerous summers lecturing
at Yeshiva Shilo in Israel. |

Mr. Chris Schnupp
Chris Schnupp is a Social Studies teacher who has
taught in both public and
private schools. He has taught
every class from 9-12th grade as well as 11th grade
AP. He holds a BA in
History and a Masters in Library Science. Mr. Schnupp
has coached varsity baseball,
hockey and bowling and looks foward to coaching
at Rambam. |

Ira J. Schildkraut
Ira J.
Schildkraut joins the faculty of Rambam Mesivta
after teaching
Social Studies at Freeport High School for 35 years.
During that time he
specialized in United States History & Government
and Advanced Placement United
States History. He served as Social Studies Department
Head for 25 years. He
has written curricula for numerous Freeport High
School Social Studies courses
and continues to serve as a testing consultant
for the New York State Education
Department, writing U.S. History & Government
Regents Exam questions and
constructing U.S. History & Government Regents
Exams.

Mrs. Jane Shiff
Mrs. Shiff has taught at HAFTR Upper School for
the last 27 years. At HAFTR, she developed the
AP Biology
course and taught it for 20 years. She has Bachelor's
and Master's degrees in Biology. Her particular
area of interest is Molecular Biology. She lives
in Lawrence and her three adult children
are all
graduates of HAFTR. Outside of school, she is
involved in AMIT Women and The Children's Brain
Tumor
Foundation. |

Professor Peter Sinclair
Professor
Sinclair has been teaching in Rambam since 1998. He
received his BS and MA from St. John’s University
in Mathematics. Having
previously taught SAT preparatory courses for
Princeton Review, he now serves as our in-house
SAT Preparatory Professor. In addition to
teaching AP Calculus and Sequential II Math in
Rambam, he is currently a full Professor at St.
John’s University. |

Mrs. Yael Joseph-Stern
Mrs. Stern has been teaching high school
for the past five years as a member of the
faculties at
S.K.A. and North Shore Hebrew Academy. She has
a master's degree in Medieval Jewish History
from NYU and is currently pursuing a doctorate
from Azrieli's Education and Administration school
of Yeshiva
University. She lives with her husband and three
children in Lawrence, New
York. |

Mr. John Stevens
Mr. John Stevens teaches 9th grade English and
10th grade computers. He is a writer and
documentary film maker. Recently, he has
taught as an Adjunct Professor in
Communications
at
St.
John's,
Hofstra
and
C.W. Post Universities. He is also the webmaster
of the Rambam website and the Editor of
the Rambam newsletter. He administers
the Website club at the school. This is Mr.
Stevens second year as part of the Rambam
faculty.

Mr. Glenn A. Taylor
This native New Yorker joins Rambam's faculty
as a Beis Medrash and Haskafa Rebbe. After high
school, Taylor learned in Yeshiva Or Saymacha in
Israel. he has learned in Yeshiva Shor Yoshuv and
currently learns in Yeshiva Beni Torah. Taylor
is currently pursuing a masters degree in social
work from Yeshiva University. The focus of his
degree is adolescent suicide, depression and gender
identity. His other interests are history, psychology
and philosophy. This is Taylor's first year as
a faculty member at Rambam. |

Mr. Rick Wilson
(English 11A;English 12A: AP Language and Composition) Mr. Wilson
is in his third year at Rambam and he greatly enjoys teaching here. He is
also on the faculty of The Wheatley School in Old Westbury (where he is a past
PTO Teacher of the Year) and is an adjunct instructor of Syracuse University.
Among Mr. Wilson's degrees are two from Queens College (B.A.
in English; M.A. in Creative Writing) and a two-year professional training
certificate from The Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Mr.
Wilson is a classically-trained pianist and theatre professional. This past
summer, he served a Musical Director for Lakes Region Summer Theatre in Merideth,
New Hampshire. He is a marathon runner and a Grade III Ocean Lifeguard, and
he has a Golden Retriever named Joey and a cat named Bianca. |

Rabbi Yosef Ziskind
A graduate of Yeshivah M’Kor Chaim Talmudic Academy, Bais Hatalmud and a "Musmach" of
the Mir Yeshiva of Jerusalem. In addition to being a Rebbe in Rambam Mesivta,
he is also a Rebbe at Yeshivah Ateret Torah. Rabbi Ziskind also serves on
the Rabbinic Advisory Committee for Kehilas Moreshes Yaakov and the coordinator
of outreach. He is responsible for the development of continuing education
classes for adults, seminars, shabbatons, and educational planning. |
