Mr. Erik Kucich



During his years at Fordham University, Mr. Kucich worked as an Athletic Trainer, which landed him a position with the NY Jets Football Team for the 1994 season. Upon graduating from Fordham, Mr. Kucich began teaching in the NYC School system, in Jamaica, Queens. He then moved onto teaching at Chaminade HS, a rigorous and highly competitive all-male, Catholic high school school in Mineola. After several years of teaching and coaching (wrestling and swimming), Mr. Kucich moved into the public schools of Nassau County. If addition to being an educator, Mr. Kucich is also a Captain in the United States Army, currently serving as a detachment commander for the 351st Tactical PSYOP Company at Ft. Totten, NY. Mr. Kucich is a focused and results-driven individual. Mr. Kucich runs an intense and fast-faced course that requires student interaction, a solid work ethic, and personal accountability. Mr. Kucich teaches through a series of guided notes, lecture, lab work/activities, and self-guided student instruction. Physical and Environmental science is a part of our every day lives... Through the lenses of these sciences, we learn, we make observations and we draw conclusions crucial to learning about our role here on Earth. Earth Science is more than simply passing the NYS regents exams, but rather learning about the Earth's systems and the proper stewardship for environmental improvement.
